4L60e to th400 swap. 3 last minute questions.
1) Can u use the stock torque arm, i have an aftermarket torque arm, but it mounts to the stock locations.
2) Can i use the stock cross member or do i need another one? If so, what size?
3) will the speedometer still work? If not, how do i get it to work again?

Ok I do not have a TH400 yet but have done enough research to answer two of your questions:
1) I believe Yank sell at TA bracket that you will need.

Your other option would be to run a body mounted TA.
2)A stock M6 crossmember will be needed for the TH400 conversion.

1. Yes, you can use the stock T/A, but you will need the Yank cross member (pricey IMO). BMR might make one for the LS1/TH400 also, check their site. Or, you can get a T/A setup like the BMR Trak-pak. IMO that is the better way to go, takes the shock from launching off the Tailshaft which is important.
2. If your car is an M6, you can use the stock crossmember by enlonging the holes and using a spacer. You need to make sure that the tranny is at the right level and not pointing down (puts more stress on the U-joints). I have "heard" of guys modifying the A4 cross member, but I am not familiar with that.
3. To get the speedo to work you will need a Reluctor and a Sensor. Do a search, the p/n's are posted on here pretty frequent. Dal and Jason Cromer sell them. You will also need to get a reprogram for your car to eliminate the tranny options.
Hope that helps.
