My ? is can a dying/dead opti affect the shift quality.The opti got wet in 1999 and again in Sep 2000(@60,000 miles).The shift quality was realgood for about 1-2 more yrs.but then got progressively worse @around 75,000 .I changed the fluid first @62,000 mi.then again@88,000 and we didnt notice any problems the 2nd time when the fluid/filter were changed(i put in Royal Purple btw),and it seemed to shift a lil, better but still not like b/f.Like my sig.shows my opti is now dead and i will install my Vig.convertor in summer/fall of 2008.Can you guys shed some light on this or opinions!
