I need some help with this problem. I have a 4L60E that was working fine prior to a rebuild. After a performance rebuild due to some tuning issues I lost the 3-4 clutch pack. It would shift normally but would slip under load going into drive. I removed the trans and got it repaired and put back in and the trans is doing the same thing as the 1st time. It starts out holding the 2-3 shift under full throttle. If I let off the throttle and hit the gas again it shifts into 3rd. Around town it is fine. I dont want to smoke a set of clutches again. As for the trans tuning issues I have reflashed ALL the stock trans tables into the computer from my stock pcm profile.

There are several things,
1-excessive line presure causing solenoid flooding.
2-wrong or additonal holes enlarged during the build in the plate (solenoid feeds)
3-contamination in the 2-3 solenoid if not replaced.
4-excessive 3-4 clutch clearance set up

Thanks for the help. I will install all the stock trans tables so that should help with any accessive line pressures. The 3-4 clutches are new so hopefully nothing is hurt there. As far as valve body plates Or solenoids I will have to check with my rebuilder. I would imagin that if the tuning does not correct this issue then I should look at replacing the solenoid and the valve body plates? Should I use the stock plates or go with trans-go or possably just modify a new factory plate?
I loaded the stock parameters in the pcm tonight...NO CHANGE. Shifts fine everywhere but wont shift into 3rd at wot unless I lift the gas and reapply then it shifts.

So new info to add. Had the car checked with a tech 1 at the dealership. I found out the tps is working fine. All shifts are working fine with the exception of 2-3 shift at wot. It appears the I have NO shift command from the computer to the trans to cause the 2-3 shift at wot. The tech 1 can be set to manually shift my trans and does so well. Manually with the tech 1 the technician can manually shift the car at will at any point wot or normal. So now what would cause no command to be sent from the computer to the trans only at wot?
The shift point is likley o close to the rev limiter and you hit the limiter before the comand is given , Power adders and other engine mods can cause this, I would try lowering the 2-3 shift point by a few hundred rpm , This is a tuning issue not a trans issue.
