4L60E Interchangability
Alright iv searched but cant find a definitive answer.
I have a 95 TA that needs a new tranny. I dont mind buying one i just want to know what years and types of cars can i take it out of.
Will the impala tranny work on it? and if so what years
What year fbody one will work. Any help is appriciated.

95-96-97 will work on your 95 car the LS1 98-02 bell housings are different and the 94 wiring is different and of course the 93 is a 700R4 not a 4L60e,

I have a raptor transmission in my Black 95 TA buti m gonna need just a stock 4l60e to put in my daily driver/cruising 95 TA so i dont need a beastly transmission unless my Raptor takes a dump on me.

So am i correct in assuming a 4L60E from a 95/96 Impalla would be a direct bolt in replacement for my bust 95 4L60e in my Trans Am? Anyone done this id be very appriciative with some help. Thanks guys.

Gotta ask this again. I now need yet another new tranny for my new project its a 95 4L60E. Any newer info on transmission as I have a 94 tranny that low milage that if i can i will just throw it in the car. Hopefully somebody will know. Thanks.
