4l60e by Frank

As you can see I am a newbie so don't beat me up to bad if I screw up posting. To cut to the chase I have taken over my brothers 90 silverado. He was a big poster on this sight and got a 4l60e trans built by Frank. I'm pretty sure the 3-4 clutch is gone so I need to get some good advice or hopefully talk to frank and see which set I should use and what if anything else I should look out for since I don't know exactly what was done to this trans. Hopefully Frank could look up the name and find some kind of record.

There have been two Franks on here that do (did) transmissions. One no longer does (CPT), the other is from Performabuilt (a site sponsor).

You might find some contact info if you do a search. You apparently don't know of all the trouble and strife from CPT and Frank. Many people had big problems getting their transmissions completed and sent back. Due to several circumstances, he was unable to do business around here any more. When you search, you will find all this info. I don't think many people will want to talk about it much and drag up all the hard feelings. Better to let all that stay in the past.

...found more...

http://www.cahallperformancetransmissions.com/ doesn't look to have been touched since 2006.

Thanks for looking around shoebox. I did all that research before I posted and I saw all the negative stuff written about cpt. I also went to that site and saw that all the posts were older than dirt. I guess im stuck taking it apart and seeing what I have on my hands. Hopefully it's just the 3-4 pack
