i stumbled upon this site, which seems to have a wealth of knowledge and experience, while searching my tranny issues.

i have a 95z with 151k mi on it. bone stock. trans started acting funny about a year ago but i didn't worry cause my g/f was driving it and she didn't run it hard enough to worry about it. in 1'st and 2'nd the tranny will start slipping around 3500-4000 and in 3rd it'll make it to 4500. it pulls hard until that point then it just stops pulling and revs, let of and it'll shift then do it again in the next gear. driving around town and being easy on it it'll do just fine, but now i am letting her take my blazer and i want to start playing with this one. i'm not knowledgable on auto's so i'll be pulling it and letting a pro rebuild it if needed.

The clutches are probably not holding up. Mine would slip in 2nd sometimes, and on the 2-3 shift, it would bump the rev limiter. Solution: I shipped it to Frank @ CPT. He builds an amazing transmission. He's a vendor on here...

I would concure that with that number of miles the trans is likley just worn out and in need of a replacemnt or a rebuild.
