4.10 question

Can changing over from stock to 4.10s gears affect traction control or ABS sensors, causing our cars to throw codes? The guy at the place I'm getting my gears changed said it might. And that I might have problems getting it smogged if it does. Has anyone heard of this or had trouble smogging their car after gear change? Need second, third ECT. Opinions. thanks

No, you're simply changing the ring & pinion. It has nothing to do with ABS / ASR, so no worries.
