4.10 Gear/Posi? Paddle Kit?

Ive got a 97 SS that I want to put 4.10 gears in. I called the dealer to see what rearend I have and all he can tell me is the car was equipped with Posi-Traction, he has never heard of Zexel. SLP said my year is right on the edge and I probably have the Zexel series 1 if I have posi. SLP has a kit sale going now and they said I also need the paddle kit - problem is they cant ship for 4 - 5 days, so that means no gear install this weekend. I called Summit and they dont have any idea what a paddle kit is. Now what? and how can I be sure I have the Zexel?

If you pull the diff cap you will know a Z/T from Auburn. Z/T will
have Helical gears on each side of the axle splined gear no springs. You will need a 3 series carrier for 4:10 gears. The paddle is cutdown or
SLP sells a 2 piece paddle. The 4:10 ring gear is so tall that the paddle won't slide in. Some guys grind the section of the ring down to slide it in. I would not recommend that.
