3rd gear miss shift to 5th.

Did any aftermarket company come up with a solution to the miss shift that Motor trend magazine said occured when shifting from 2nd gear to 3rd 0n the 93 to 97 f-body stick shift cars?I've got my eye on a 96,but I dunno.Thanks.

If you learn to drive well enough it wont be an issue. An aftermarket shifter might help though.

Re: 3rd gear miss shift to 5th.

The gating on the factory shifter (certainly for 1995) is so poorly designed that even people who have been driving floor shifter manuals for years will sometimes be finding 5th instead of 3rd. I have been very happy with the Hurst aftermarket shifter and those using the B&M shifters have been happy with those. The factory did offer a "Hurst" option but the consensus seems to be that it wasn't entirely Hurst and wasn't much better than the gm factory piece.
