3400 Stall to big for bolt-on/sprayed LT1??

Hey guys, do you think a 3400 stall converter would be too much for a bolt-on/sprayed LT1? Or should I just go with a 3200 stall, im also still running stock 3.23's. Thanks for the input!

i run a 2400 and wish i went bigger. next time it will probably be at least 3400. i sure hope you set the window above 3000 or maybe delay the nitrous start.

Thanks again guys, im still up in the air on the 3200 or 3400...If I set my window switch at 3000 with a 3400 stall I should be alright? Hoping for high 11's on the juice and mid-high 12's on motor

Sounds perfect with realistic goals.

i made the assumption that everyone launched at the stall. i didn't know (and still am not sure) how to prevent the nitrous from coming on above 3000 when your staged at the line with your rpms at stall or real close (3550).

Well you don't have the throttle on the floor to stall the car up on the line, do you? So as long as your using a WOT switch it won't come on untill you lanuch.
But for the record I currently don't lanuch my car at stall. I hold it at about 1200-1400 and flat foot it on the 3rd yellow. Seems to come out of the hole harder that way.

i dont have the gas on the floor but i do push the rpms right to the stall. when i let go of the brake i floor the pedal. the et streets grab right now. i think you could launch your car harder by doing the same. i agree that the time it takes to flash from 12 to 34 is not long at all but its always going to be slower than 3350 to 34 and i am sure we both are trying to cut every tenth we can. so the flash to 34 with the throttle wide open is just about as fast as electrons completing the circuit, the solenoid opening, and 900+ pounds of nitrous to flow into the intake so you never have the nitrous flowing below 3400ish (3000 with the window switch) at the line. i got it.

My car will push through the lights if I try to launch like that. Most I can do is about 2500 before I either start spining the tires or push and red light. Flashing the converter seems to work best for my current setup.
