Unhappy 3300 stall??

just got my stall in (tci) and i could only get it to stall to 2400 and i called him and he said that they are flash rated, he said that i should hold it at 2000 and punch it at the light and i will take off faster than i guy with a cheaper stall holding it at 3000, he is a great guy with a 200 mph drag car, but this sounds funny, can some one shine some light on the s for me , will i be faster/??????

With a 3000 stall, you wont be able to footbrake it to 3000. It will be lower like he said. If you were to mash the gas it will flash up to 3000.

My last converter (2800 Vig.) would footbrake to about 2000rpm. So far with that converter and the new Yank 3600 I have the best 60ft. times by flashing it instead of stalling it up at the track.
Without very sticky tires your new mod will be nothing than a smoke show. So if you like to go to the track, invest in a spare set of wheels and get some MT street radials. Their a great tire.

Try letting it flash-up off the line and see if that improves your 60 ft times. Most of these type converts work best if they're flashed from near idle.

My mistake, nice tire aren't they? Sucks though, I had a screw in one of mine with only 600 miles on it. Replaced it for safeties sake, and as you know there not cheap. Oh well.
