3.73 how much 1/4 gains???

Right now i can only run a 14 flat. That's with no posi, and an opti going bad. I am putting in a torsen HD diff and 3.73's. I am also getting a tune from Brian to correct the gears and hopefully gain a little performance. What new times do you think i will run?

Re: 3.73 how much 1/4 gains???

I was a little disappointed to see about .15 better changing from 2.73 to 3.73 with an A4 trans. Most of the difference came with about .1 better 60 ft. On the plus side it made virtually no difference to my mpg. That will take a hit if you go bigger stall.

My car had headers and a higher stall torque converter when I went from 323's to 373's. The car gained a solid 3 tenths and felt a lot better. I was running 13.0X at the time and was hitting 12.7X consistantly after the gear change.
