3.23 - 3.73 :: The difference

I have a 1996 Z/28 with the automatic 4 speed currently with the stock 3.23 gears. The only mods i have are in my signature, and i have recently purchased a set of 3.73 Richmond gears. I am told the difference between the two is "night and day" and that i will LOVE my new gears. All im trying to do is get some feedback on the gears before i get them installed. Later on in years to come, i will be building the car better (383 stroker, 3000+ Stall, Racing 4L60E, etc.) so for now i am not worried about a stall. The main questions i had were how many RPM's do you guys currently with 3.73's run at about 60 - 65mph? Second, in your personal oppinion, were the gears worth the money and did they make THAT noticeable of a difference? Then lastly, i hear i may not get traction if i launch too hard? I am not too concerned about traction, i would just like to know if thats the case with most people.
Thanks for everyones time, look foward to seeing what people have to say.

If you want to compare RPMs with different gears at different speeds, go here.
