3.23 to 3.73?

I am thinking of changing my gears in my 1996 z28 A4.Mods are Lt4 hot cam with full bolt on's.My question is mow much would it hurt my MPG I have the stock 3.23s.I am thinking about putting in some 3.73 but I don't want to do it if it destroys my MPG and dosen't make much difference.Would it be worth doing? Thanks

From what I hear, it's not worth it unless you are changing your entire rear end (like a 12 bolt or 9"). It's a good amount of work for very little difference.

The mileage will go down your car will most likely at cruise speeds about 65 will be around 5-700 rpms higher over a long cruise that will hurt your mileage. Ive done gear changes to all my camaros, also Converter is a good option but not soo cheap.
