2800 stall and stock rear/gears?
2800 stall and stock rear/gears?
well i want a 2800 stall but the guy i was bull****ting with at the tranny shop said it would be a bad idea wiht a stock rear and gears....i have 3.23's....can you shed some light on this if its true or not?
if you go with a 2800 stall make sure it is a lock up or you will burn up your trans quickly using overdrive. you want the converter completely locked up at cruising speed or excessive heat will build up. but with a lockup trans the torque multiplication is out of the picture at cruising. it is a lot of fun with a 2800 stall behind an lt1. do recommend a very good trans cooler for insurance. scary part is that you were at a trans shop already
