1995 camaro 2.73 rear end question

ok a4 shifter only has p r n od d 2... i heard there is a little black clip in my shift selector that keeps me from putting my car in 1st gear... does anyone know how i can access this clip to remove it and be able to fully control my shifts.. there's no serious reason but it just bugs me and i think it could help with my custom tuning if i could play with my car in each gear.

pictures would be extremely helpful because i cannot figure out how to remove my a4 shift **** (its the stock one)

I have heard of just slamming it down hard to break the clip, but I wouldn't on my car

As for the ****, put it in 2, on the front there should be a slot about 3/4 inch wide, there is a u shaped clip in there that you need to hook with a small screwdriver and pull out, then the **** slides strait up

Yeah I'm not too sure about slamming it down that hard. I've bumped it pretty hard before and it paranoid me for weeks that I tore something up
