1994 z28 need help with clutch

Hi I just recently got a 94 z28 with a 6 speed and wanted to know if I needed to change my clutch or if it's somethig else. What happens is when I'm on the freeway or regular city driving when I step on the gas it revs a whole lot more than what it goes. Also when sitting still I noticed I can keep it on first gear and let go of the clutch pedal and the car won't stall, it'll just stay idling and I'll smell the clutch burning, i tried it on all gears same thing happens.

You need a clutch. Replace the pressure plate and the throw out bearing at the same time. And don't forget to replace the pilot bearing as well.

With all that slippage you probably have some spot discoloration. GM says you can't refinish the flywheel ( I did and got away with it) so you better figure that it while you're in there....

No they don't. That's just an accounting change in procedure to get cars completed and out of the shop. And that didn't get implemented until around 2000 anyway. Procedure was to resurface until that time.
