1987 2.8L Tranny (empty and possibly broken)
1987 2.8L Tranny (empty and possibly broken)
So although I've been lurking off and on for a while, this is my first post. Yay and Hi.
On to the question..
I found a camaro ('87 2.8L, auto) for sale really cheap (by the standards out here). The guy is asking $600 for it and asked some questions about it. I found out that it is his sons car and it was leaking tranny fluid pretty bad so he parked it. It was parked as soon as he noticed it was leaking and started "acting weird". They say it needs a new tranny but they admit to not knowing that much about whats going on with transmissions. On the other hand, neither do I. So i ask you guys.. if it wasnt driven on empty do you think i would be able to throw some fluid into it and baby it home to find out whats going on? Or should i just walk away?
Thanks
