Question 12 bolt install

I want to install a 12 bolt rearend in my car for obvious reasons. However, I want to maintain the handling of my car. Is there a direct replacement unit out there?

I have heard with the Moser you have to install bigger clamps to hold the sway bar on and you may have to install a different panhard bar also

Any and all information is appreciated.

The Strange is a total, direct, plug-and-play replacement. No modifications required. You might have to rotate the sway bar clamps a few degrees to keep the sway bar from hitting the bottom of the aluminum cover plate.

The Moser does require larger sway bar clamps, because it uses larger axle tubes.... but that is really a minor detail. Spohn sells modified brackets/u-bolts. I have never heard of anyone needing a different panhard rod. The torque arm mount needs an offset set of holes.... Spohn includes those on his TA's. Some people have found it necessary to shorten the driveshaft with the Moser.

There is also a KTRE that is virtually identical to the Strange, but KTRE has a very poor reputation due to some dishonest group purchase deals reported several years ago.

Thanks for info. Man, you got your car set up

My mission is mostly nice day driving and occasional test n tune. I am pretty **** when it comes to my car. Therefore, I don't like butcher and bang etc. to get things to fit. If the Strange unit is direct replacement I will be going with it.

Upon installing the Strange unit how would you suggest checking the drive shaft/differential pinion angle? and any other critical info.
