10 bolt + stall = ?
10 bolt + stall = ?
Will my 3.23 geared 10 bolt survive behind my new built transmission with 2800 stall and some sticky rubber?
This is going to be the deciding factor on if I need to spring for the 12 bolt or if I can spend the money elsewhere.

Re: 10 bolt + stall = ?
depends on how many hard launches you put it thru, there is no real answer to that question. But in an auto a 10 bolt will hold up to quite a bit. My stocker has held up to 1.5x 60's for several years. 4.10's and a 4000 stall and no problems with it. I broke the carrier once about 2 yers ago, rebuilt the rear and havent had a probelm since.
In an auto under 500hp I say spend your money elsewhere...

Also, with 3.73s, or 4.10s I think your 10 bolt rear-end has a greater chance of staying together. I believe the gear reduction is a key factor, also the auto and some wrinkle wall slicks.
I'm currently running low 12s with my 10 bolt (1997 LT1, auto bracket car) w/ 3.73s, 26" tall slicks and 3200 Vigilante stall. I also have the TA Performance carrier stud kit and support cover. Entry cost for a 12 bolt is around $2400.
