10 bolt build up??? vs dana s60

Well, I blew my rear end out a couple of months back... and I wound up buying another 10 bolt (no posi) with richmond 4.10 gears in it for 200 dollars, a good deal if you ask me. Anyways, I have been following the "Bullet Proof 10 bolt; you be the judge" thread closely... I was originally going to get the dana s60 rear end... but then i came across that thread and then the 200 dollar rear end came available... with that being said, should I ......

Stick to the s60 plan, or would that be overkill?

or should I try out the 10 bolt build up (I am quite skeptical)

I plan to max out the p1sc blower, 383 stroke the bottom end and get afr 210 heads, would the 10 bolt hold up to all these mods in the future??? I guess that is it, thanks for the help and all the advice, all opinions are welcome, thanks!!!!!

With your car being a M6, I'd say go with something stonger. Size does matter and the 7.5 just isn't strong enough. An automatic car "might" be OK with your power level. Do it right the first time.

When it comes to the drivetrain in these cars I don't think there is a such thing as overkill.
Suck it up and do it right the first time. The S60 will give you many years of worry free heavy right foot operation.
Trust me I am a bang for the buck kinda guy, and there are several things you can do on these cars where you don't have to spend tons of money. The transmission and rear end are not one of them.

do u want to waste money or spend money for a good cause?

building a 10 bolt is a waste of money , it may hold for a while but it wont last, and what are u left with?? a hunk of metal that is now money spent for nothing

i vote dana 60

and dont believe anyone that says its overkill, theres no such thing....u spend a little over 2k and dont look back.....whilst they are still replacing their 10 bolt

I vote s60, the only draw back is the weight of a Dana, but strong as hell.

i'm not a fan of a dana 60 but its way better than a 10 bolt.....a dana 44 is better than a ten bolt 7.5

Rear is not a place you want to cut corners

I vote for the 10 bolt. NOT!!!!! How many votes is that now? I only have one hand and can't count that high, the other one is holding a cocktail.

My friend went through a handful of stock rearends on his mild heads/cam LS1 before finally stepping up to a real rearend. I wouldn't waste your money on the 10 bolt and just save towards the S60.

8 votes dana, moser, strange
0 10 bolt

Ok, well, I guess i can clearly see that I should save up and do it right, but, should I do the dana, ford 9", or the moser 12 bolt??? I am still for the dana out of these 3, gimmie some opinions though.

the danas the biggest/strongest and heaviest of the 3 but if i remeber correctly it has the least parasitic draw/ drain

the only downsize is the weight

I went for a 9"
don't like the other type rears....I also don't see where anymore loss comes from the 9" I checked everything and rotating tq...its not much mor than stock....mind you this is not a rear you could drive on the street either 35 spline spool drilled flanged race gear etc. I would not go to a dana 60 that thing is HUGE and HEAVY Its bigger than the diff in my F-250
12 bolt is probly the best for street use, light fairly durable
