10 bolt axle
Look at your RPO codes. GU2 is 2.73, GU5 is 3.23. Most will agree that 3.73s are the best for auto cars, but it depends on your modifications. The stock 10 bolt is weak no matter what you do to it. Save your money and upgrade to a bigger rear end.
If you have an A4, then the 10 bolt will hold for awhile, even with stickier tires, but if its an M6, just save your money & don't put a dime in that 10 bolt, but if your planning on going to a beefier rear next year, i wouldn't even consider any up-grades to the 10 bolt, just leave it be, i'm running an M6 with bolt-ons, i just got through piecing together a 9", its just about done, i went with the moser houseing/axle package with LCA re-locateing bracket (welded on by moser), i was out 1100.00 shipped, this would be a good starter point for anyone.
