Your worst timeslip?

What's the worst time you've ever run?

Here's mine:

R/T 0.3489
60' 2.4510
330' 6.4680
1/8 9.6921 @ 77.99
1000' 12.32 @ 94.36
1/4 14.5039 @ 103.97

This was September of last year at Milan Dragway. IIRC, I spun off the line so bad I had to get out of it to hook back up, did the same shifting into second, and then missed third.

Here's mine from September of last year

R/T 0.708
60' 1.511
330' 4.918
1/8 No time or speed
1000' 12.415 No speed
1/4 16.179 @ 55.456

Caught napping at the line, then the car left spinning the tires but stayed straight. Grabbed 2nd around the 60' mark and it headed towards the wall. Stuck it in high gear and cruised the rest of the way.

i never got a baseline at the track when i had the car stock so the worst for me was after spending a few thousand on mods, i had the car dyno 412rwhp after some tweaking with the tuning. i always heard of 310rwhp 4th gens running 12.9-13.2 so i was thinking the extra 100 rwhp would put my low 12's at least.

dont remember r/t but first 3 passes with new setup were
13.25 @ 111 --- first time, maybe im just nervous
13.2 @ 111 --- hmmmm!?!
13.1 @ 112 --- wtf is wrong with my car!?!

just me being stupid running cam in sig with 2.73's and stock tc.
i still have the stock tc, but do much better with the new gears

I had a bye run before in the saleen and I ran something like a 23 second pass at 40mph. I even put my window down when I was halfway down the track. Another time I lifted at half track because I was beating my opponet badly and coasted to a 10.1@95mph

I did something similar my first (and only) time to the track thus far.

My first run was a 13.5XX
My second run was 13.6XX

My 60ft was consistent at 2.1, but I had zero traction once I got into the engines powerband. I think some ET Streets would solve this

I think most of my traction problems had to do with the poor track condition because it was raining on and off all day (plus it was at Lapeer, MI )

Yeah, the only positive thing I can think of is that you can get plenty of passes in . From what I have heard, you are lucky to get three passes in if you go to Milan. Have you ever been to Ubly? I may try that track out.

Stanton T&T Wed. Get there when the gates open and run as many passes as you want.

My slow slip in the formy was in it's first year. It was a real consistant 13.5 @ 105 car then. Went to Milan on a hot humid day and the track was so slippery that a 2.4 60' was the best that I could do. Ran a 14.1 @ 99mph on a 2.6 60'.

I've never gotten fewer than 10 passes in at Milan. I once made 19 passes in three hours.

Without looking at my stack of time slips (which I have for every run I've ever done at the track! ) ... I think MY worst time has been around a ~14.7 - 14.9?? Now my DAD on the other hand has run something like a ~16.9 with my car!?!? "Apparently" it spun off the line, so he lifted on the throttle, the (A4) tranny went into 2nd, then he got back onto the throttle and it was in 2nd gear the whole way ... STILL, I can't believe how f'n slow it was?!

Back at the M4 event in 1999 I think it was... With 130,000 miles on the stock L69, it was running 15.6, 15.7 at 88 MPH or thereabouts. Then in 2003 I lost two cam lobes and while running on six cylinders, the Feeble305 started losing an additional tenth of a second on each and every run. After seven runs, it was into the mid-15's so I quit and drove it home. The next day it started popping through the intake because the exhaust valve wouldn't open on cylinder # 8 anymore.

I was at ATCO raceway working out some bugs on my new platform one time.. I left the line hard, yanked the tires, pulled a 1.5x 60ft time, got to about the 330' mark and the car fell on it's face, like i took my foot off the gas.. ENded up getting a 15.1 @ 78 MPH .. I actually heard the announcer go "Wow, I dont know what happened to that pass, but that time was horrible" .. Good times..
