will i break into the 12s?

ok, i was running 13.8 in atlanta with CAI exhaust headers, tune. now i have le1 head cam package , 1.6 rr, 373s and 30 # injectors. how likely am i to be in the 12s at bristol (higher elevation) and does anyone have any predicitons as to what i will run? i was also wondering if you think traction will be a problem on the track running street tires. thanks

Traction will definately be an issue and could be the deciding factor whether or not you make it into the 12's. You have the power mods needed to run low 12's with sticky tires, but it could be close with street tires. I think you will be able to pull it off though, just don't floor it off the line whatever you do, cause you will spin all day long. Kinda ease into it and when you feel it grab hit the throttle hard and hold on. I am trying for 12's tomorrow at the track with significantly less mods than you, but I also have MT Drag radials and I can launch it as hard as I want and I will almost always be able to dead hook. Good luck!!!

Find 2 16x8s and put some DRs on before you go...or borrow a set...I've seen people put more mods on an engine without doing suspension, tires, etc first only to wind up going slower because they can't hook....

You should be able to w/ all those mods... A good hook and some better headers 12's for sure.

i was in the same boat. Only made it to the track once with my setup. I think i pegged the rev limiter and it detonated or valve float cause me to have a piston and valve collide.

Just look at it this way...now you can go even bigger. Just save you're money up and buy things carefully and you'll have a good runnin setup.

Good luck
