Why does New Track mean bad times?

Why does New Track mean bad times?
My friend took her ls1 to a completly redone track yesterday, she was hitting 13.8-14.2 instead of 13.2-13.5

Why did this happen?

(it was about 100F out but that should be 3/4 of a second)

Compare the 60 ft. times. Maybe the track needs some rubber on the launch pad.

thats what my friend said but why would asphault need rubber to make it give more friction for a better launch?

wouldnt a nice slury cover that really well?

the track needs to get "seasoned" with rubber and compound.

after winter most tracks suck untill they get a days of racing on them.

and the heat is a big killer,especially if it was humid.
