I wish Mindgame had stuck around. IIRC, his 15* headed 383 went low 10s at almost 140, traction severely limited (street tires). NA, pump gas, everything in street trim.... 568rwhp

Thanks to some ******* who use to post here, he stopped posting. Now we'll never get to see what the car had in it.

Talos this is a 4th gen website but I notice that you show a 80 model in your sig. Sammy Vedros from Louisiana has a 1st gen Lt1 na that ran 9.62 with a stock computer and smallish cam. He just this week put a large solid roller and is looking for better times. But for 4th gen Joe O is the man. Frank95z

Talos What I was trying to say is that only 4th gens are considered for record purposes on this site. Sammys car is lighter than a lot of these 4thgens so that gives him a advantage. Sammys car is just an example of how fast you can run with a lightweight car with a hydralic cam and stock computer. With that said I believe with Joe O's motor in Sammys car 8's na would be possible. Frank95z

Dose Sammys car have a stock type rear suspension? Non ladder bar or 4 link.

Steve Sammy has a 4 link rear suspension. This old camaro is just a homemade bracket car. The body was available less motor and Sammy just installed his 396 LT4 in it with 6 speed first. Then after breaking a couple of 6 speeds he went to a powerglide. The 9.62 was with belt on and no ice. This car is a good example of what a stock computer, lightweight,na lt4 can run. Just for Talos's info I run a na stockhead 95 camaro streetcar and i've run 11.40 116. Frank95z
