When you switched from m6 to auto how did it effect your mph and times?

I am about to make the switch from m6 to an auto(most likely TH350). But before I do I was hoping to see how your MPH and times changed in either the 1/8th or 1/4 mile when you switched.

If you did change something else other than the stalled auto could you let me know. I'd definantly like to see the ones that did nothing other than change to a stalled auto.

Also could you say what type of auto, what stall, and if you know your rwhp with the m6 and with the stalled auto? Thanks everyone.

MPH dropped abour 1MPH in general in the 1/4 mile.
Launching became much easier.
ET stayed about the same.

Went from M6 to TCI 700R4 with 3600 stall.

That's it. Were you really good with the m6?

I went from a M6 to a Turbo 400 with a 3500 stall. '95 Formula bolt-on car with 4.11 gears. Lost 2mph and .2. Did overkill on the trans because I was planning a stroker motor later. Turbo 400 takes more HP to turn than a turbo 350 or 700R4. Highway streetability went away with the Turbo 400 and 4.11 gears.

Do you think it might have been faster if you went with a higher stall?

I don't know. I bracket race so faster isn't important. I have shoe polish. Car was a low 13 second bolt on car and in good air with the stick I was able to break into the high 12's. I think if I used a turbo 350 the car would of stayed the same. Turbo 400's suck up some hp. I bracket raced the stick for 3 seasons. Did the auto conversion and never looked back.
