when i take my trans am to the track should i run it with traction control on or off? i have nittos on the camaro i sold to my dad , ill get them put on the trans am when i got to the track, now with the nittos on should i run with traction control on or off? does the traction control being on make your et worse? should i stall it up or just punch it off the line?

Definitely OFF!

You don't want the computer f***ing around with the gas, timing, and brakes while you're trying to accelerate!!! It just doesn't make sense!!!!

Keep trac-control off.

Oh, and how to launch? A4 or M6?

A4 - HIT IT!
M6 - ...................ah, I'll let an M6 guy explain it!! ("I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy!")

stock tires or normal street tires- 2500rpm..... slip the clutch till you feel it bite a bit and let out of the clutch as you add gas. i short shift 2nd right now so it will hook and i ride out 2nd.

its an a4, and actually i learned with my older a4 that you can get a better time by stalling and or flashing the converter even a stock one so the time can improve by doing this rather than puinch it

If you're after an all time best run then turn it off. If you run in competative bracket racing where consistency wins rounds then leave it on.

A few years ago we had a Tahoe running in Sportsman ET. He won the class at the end of the season and ran consistant 18 second 1/4 miles because he used the traction control.

as stated b4. u definately want it OFF. it will do nothing but kick your foot off the gas and u will bog like a *****. u would also find yourself replacing tranny mounts regularly. have fun!!!

ASR = acceleration slip regulation
TCS = traction control system

ASR = TCS..............same thing, different name
