Wheels and tires

Here's what I am running at the track

17x9 ZR1 with 245/45R17 in the front
stock painted 16x8 firebird 5 spoke with 28 11.50 bias ply et streets

Here's what I want to run

summit star 15x4 with radial front
summit atar 15x8 with 275/50R15 drag radial (~26inches tall)

Would it be worth the time and money? I don't have the cash to blow on real welds but I want to get back to a 26in tire and some lighter wheels.

Yep. You will gain around 1 to 1.5 tenths in ET.

On another note what do you have in it for a torque converter?

I need to update the sig. It's a 3600 stall and 224r cam with ported and milled 241s.
