BF Goodrich DR, M/T ET Street Radial, or Hoosier Drag Radial?

No real first hand expierance with dr's but from what everybody says the m/ts are the best.

I would say that M/Ts are the most popular by far and I've seen cars turn some good times on them. I ran Nittos last season and loved them. Provided good traction and good driveability for a DD.
If you just want to run them at the track then I'd say M/ts. If you want to run them all the time, I'd go with a Nitto or BFG.

If you're going to use them as a track only tire then MTs.
If you're going to leave them on the car all the time then the Nittos.

I vote for M/Ts...They are all I run on my car (about 4000 miles a year) and they are holding up great on the street. They are wearing better than the BFG DRs that I ran for 10 years. Tire pressure on the street is key for longer life as too much will bald the centers fast..And rain stinks with either brand of DRs, even though I've been caught in downpours with the M/Ts and it was not that bad...

I've used the bfg's and the m/t et radials. The mickey's are very good at the track, but the bfg's hooked noticeably better than the m/t's on the street.

I liked my first set of MT's, but my second set hasn't fared so well since I put the N2O on. They are chunking and balling up pretty bad. I leave them on my car all the time and run them at 32 PSI. If I go to the track will a good burnout clean them up so they hook?
Had Nitto's before that. Godd wear but not in the same league as far as traction...

Blownjesse (from mnfbody.com) was having the same problem, and it just took a couple good burnouts to get them back to sticky. The longer burnout they did, the better the car hooked.Originally Posted by 96SilverZ

I have the 275/40-17 M/T's on my car and it actually gets traction in first haha. I agree with what is said, don't use these on a daily car that sees 15k/yr where the nitto is a better fit, but I do believe the M/T's are the best fit for the higher power cars that see the street occasionally.

ive had the bfg's and want the m/t's but i have the stock 10 bolt. even tho im a4, i worry about when i do a tc, possibly blowing out the rear with m/t's since all i ever hear of them is they are softer and less forgiving

It is a white 3rd gen. RS, I believe. IIRC it is a procharged 383 or 406. TH350, etc.Originally Posted by 96SilverZ
