Brian I am nipping at your heals ......Hoping for the 11's myself....We'll see Sunday......Not gonna be the best of weather for any super numbers but I am gonna give it a hell of a shot.....Only thing holding me back last fall was the shifting issues with the obd-1 computer , hopefully that is fixed now and I can get into the 11's

Re: What are you hoping to run this season?

i've got some suspension parts on order, panhard rod, LCA's, airbag
opti is on order as well as wheel studs and lugs, plus a shift light so i can catch my 6600-6700rpm shift point

went 12.51 @ 112.75 last year on a 1.86 60ft bone stock suspension, bad opti and shifting at 6k on 16" x 10.5" ET Streets

this year i'm on bigs n lils with 15" x 11.5" ET Streets....hoping for some times under mid 11's and traps of 119mph or better, car weighs about 3400 with me in it and i still have alot too remove

i really wanna get the short time down in the 1.6's, i'd say that my biggest goal. if i can pull that off, the rest is cake

(excuses.....excuses)

Goal is 10.99 on a 150 shot, 11.99 N/A. Will be putting in 4.11's in the 12-bolt soon (which will be a FAR better gear choice over my current 3.73's), and plan to do some motor and suspension tuning to achieve this goal, while still running untouched stock TB, Intake, and shortblock on pump gas (while still sporting full stereo system and no icing of the intake or other tricks of that nature). Might have to borrow a set of skinnies to hit my goal though.

No real comp license until 7.99. Just buy an IHRA membership and tell them what ET break you're going to run in. I have a D membership license. That covers 9.00 to 10.99. No medical required.

All NHRA applications to run quicker than 9.99 should come with a jar of vasoline.
Stephen,
I don't even know where there is an IHRA sanctioned track in this area. Maple Grove, Cecil County, Atco, E-Town and Island are all under 1.5 hours from me and they're all NHRA sanctioned. I also prefer the overkill on the safety equipment. I'd much rather be safe than sorry.

My chassis is certified to run 7.50's for 3 years - not so bad IMO. It was nice to hear the chassis cert guy say "man, this car is very well-built!"

Yeah, it does cost more money but it's all part of the price of the game to me.

Jax, nearest IHRA track to us is MIR (Maryland) and another in central PA near the Penn State Campus. Both 3+ hours away. I'm now over kill on NHRA safety requirements too. I no longer need the roll bar and 5 point harness. But like you said better safe than sorry.

I will when I can get it down the track cleanly this year. Until then, I'm just a wannabe gear rower.

I'm hoping to run 10's with the race car and I'd just like to get the street car back together.
