You're getting pretty brave there putting you built 396 up against a stock LS1. Want to try my little 346? Originally Posted by The Engineer

It would be a good race! With the new gears, Goodyear slicks and a few recent upgrades I'm currently running in the 11 teens @ 120+ MPH.Originally Posted by AL SS590 M6

I love Vette owners! Most of them "think" they store-bought a car that simply can't be outrun by other street cars. Basically, they don't know what fast is at the drag strip!

Yeah I just ran a 11.12 @ 120.73 last night with a DA of 2700' on the new 275-60x15 Hoosier drag radials 1.507 60'. We'd have us a real show down.Originally Posted by The Engineer

80% of 'vette owners wouldn't get caught racing their babies, 10% build them to race, and the last 10% just think thier the poop and faster than anything ever built.

They run basically the same, so if you can take an F-body, you can take a 'Vette Originally Posted by jamilz28

I agree! And we're taking shots at cream-puff (show-room stock) Vette owners who think they have a mean-machine, not LS engine people in general.Originally Posted by Z-RATED94

Yeah back in 99 when I was driving a basically stock 98 SS I ran into one of these assclowns. He wouldn't let me by on the x-way. He was in the left lane and when he got past a car in the right lane he'd speed up 'till he got to the next car to pass then he'd slow back down.Originally Posted by The Engineer

Well I could only take so much of that. The next time that he just got past the car in the right lane I dropped it to 3rd and went around him on the right. It was so funny because when he saw the front of the SS come up he jumped on the 'vette but it was an auto and couldn't even come close to a 70 mph 3rd gear rollon from the stick car.
He got off at my exit and I could see that he was fuming. I just laughed.
my favorite thing is putting new sports cars to shame with a bolt on lt1
last week a guy told me that a lt1 was a old and out dated and his car would demolish me.
then we lined up and he had no chance my car jump out at first because of the stall and it kept on going he pos was way back there i thought it was funny
and he came back all pissed

Do you ever go down to the track at Noble (TVRP)? I race there in the NHRA Summit Bracket series which is on Saturday evenings.

Thunder Valley Raceway Park (TVRP) an NHRA track is just off US-77 and about two miles south of down-town Noble.
I-35 south to HW-9 exit east in Norman, east on HW-9 to US-77 south to Noble. Thru down-town Noble then south on US-77 about two miles, exit right at the portable building sales lot and TVRP sign, go to the end of the road, TVRP is on the right. They have T-n-T on Fridays.
