What wheels for an LS1 for drag racing?

Will I have to use 16in or are there 15in wheels that will work. Whatever wheel I use I plan on drilling them for rim screws and tubes.

No Mark, I still have my car. I was just trying to get some info on LS1 cars because I have to get a set of wheels for a buddy of mine. Bob has the car right now and let me just put it like this, he's had it for about 4 months and the guys already spent over $30K on it. Bob's having a 10pt cage installed and then has to have it dyno tuned, then it comes to me for wheels, tires, and exhaust. Should easily have $40K in it not counting the car, must be nice to have deep pockets like that. I think Bob is expecting somewhere around 550-600 rwhp from it, should be fun and I'll probably get to make the first pass in it since the guy who owns it has never drove a car with that much power, especially one setup for racing.
As for my car I'm still plugging along bracket racing. I won't do anything to the car this season, unless something breaks, but I do plan on a all new engine combo for next season, with a goal of around 475-500 rwhp.
I'm still planning on going to the Rock on May 7th for the GM show, maybe I'll see you there. Take care Mark.

Wow, yeah, it must be nice to have the $$$ for it... I wouldn't know though.

We are planning on going to the Rock May 7 just to watch. If you have any idea of where you will be parked let me know and we'll be sure to stop by. I assume they will have it set up like the Super Chevy shows used to be with the show cars behind the tower and manufacturers and swap meet along pit row where the main concession stand is. That leaves the pit area on the other side of the return road - unless I'm forgetting something.

From what i've read on ls1tech most of those guys are running 15x10 7.5 bs Welds and Centerlines. I've been researching it because I have an LS1 rear.

Bogarts bolt on with no mods - hence the price.
