Question what rear springs to run with a HAL/QA1 setup... and smore more Qs

I was thinking about gettin in on the GP thats goin on on these HALs

the complete package comes with the front springs and all the shocks and struts .. but no rear springs ... should i just run rear V6 springs ? or are the rear LT1 springs the same as the V6 ones ?

would u guys advise strongly against cutting the rear springs a tad (maybe 3/4" to 1") just do that my car doesnt look like an offroad camaro ...

also, are the HAL Front springs the same ride height as the stockers ? i understand you can adjust the ride height with the shocks .. how easy is this task ? can i say, drop my car for cruises and shows and raise it up for the weekend !? Or is it more inloved than just turning a wrench !?

also, would you recommend airbags with this setup ? would airbags really help with traction ? or can the same thing be done by adjusting the rear shocks accordingly ...

-keep in mind that my car is only a weekend warrior .. i still want to toss her around the corners really fast and go on road trips and such... so im looking for a compromise and possibly 1.5 60's (10.5 ET streets, M6, Street twin, strange 12bolt with 4.10s, and enough power for high 10s by next season) .. i'll probably grab some Hoosiers once the ET streets are done...

the lt1 and v6 springs are different

most people choose to use the stock lt1 springs for the rear and have no problem with it at all...thats what im gonna do as well..

good luck

Its not more involved than turning a spanner wrench , but ....that spanner wrench is hard **** to turn . Billingsly racing just came out with a plate type thing with roller bearings to make turng the adjust ALOT easier . I didnt see that listed on his site , so youll have to email him on that one. There cheap ....$24 if I remember right .

I would try the adj. first . 4 on the driver and 5 on the passenger seems to somewhat common with good track prep . But , youll just have to play with it to find your cars sweet spot .

Run stock V8 springs in back.

Not V6 springs, now that you have the QA1's you have all the adjustabilty you need thru the shocks.

I had V6 springs in back for a while but they squatted too much with slicks.
