what is a good rearend gears for 1/4 mile
It depends on the tire size and rpm range of the engine. 4.10 gears and 26" tall tires might be ok for a 12 second car shifting at 5500 rpm. A 15 second car with 26" tires shifting at 4500 rpm could also use 4.10 gears. I'm using a 26" tall tire since that's the common tire height of most car tires. If you install taller tires of around 28" then you'll usually need deeper gears but then it also depends on the rpm range. Squeeze the tallest tires possible into the wheel wells then calculate what gears will work best in the engine's rpm range.
ok kool thanks i aint done rebuilding my motor i got it how and killed the rings so i donr know what the new rpm range is going to be all i have right now is a 350 eldabrock performer intake with 60 flat top 10:5:1 comp holly 650 dule line dubble pumper dubbel hump heade 202's stock rods steal crank have not pickes cam yet also i am running a 350 turbo teans with a 5500 stall mabe this will help thanks for all the help

At least a 750 DP for any kind of performance.
Unless you find a set of double hump heads with a lot of work already done to them for a real cheap price, I'd recommend going with some good aftermarket heads instead. They don't have to be aluminum. A set of cast iron Dart heads are much better than those old technology heads ever will be. The cost of modifying a 30 year old set of heads with bigger valves, screw in studs, larger spring pockets and a port job, it's cheaper to buy a new set of aftermarket heads that already have all the work done and are better out of the box than the 30 year old heads are.
I also think your stall speed will be too high for the combination of parts you've already chosen. Something more in the 3000-3500 range would be better. The intake manifold is only good to 6500 rpm.
You can't mix street performance parts with full race parts and expect the car/engine to work properly.
