4800 Converter issues.

The leaf blower did the trick this weekend, we were able to cool down the converter and that helped us lower the tranny temps. Just sad, I went out in the third round. Had a dead on dial, but I left to soon, brought the red light on.

The converter is getting pulled and restalled. Going to move down to 4000-4100 that should be about right, if not I will throw my 3500 back in it. The converter is just not effecient on the big end. I'm also going to through a high capacity pan on the transmission as well.

Monitoring the tranny temp was the key, we predicated every run within a .01, when we got to the third round we had a feeling it would slow down from the previous round and it did. We also ran 1/8 mile this weekend due to the high winds. The tranny temps started off about 115 and the finish temp was 145-155.

The best pass of the night was 7.31@93mph

No racing this weekend, going to the Nascar Race in Dallas, should have the converter back from the restall, when I get back and we will find out if this helped or not.
