Talking Walmart Drag Radials!!!!

Well not made by walmart...but walmarts new supercenters with the tire lube and express carry's bfgoodrich comp T/A drag radials by special order. The best part is they are hella cheap........I got some 255/50/16's on order and they cost 131 bucks each....total was 268.xx after tax! Mounting is included too! If you want new valve stems its 1.50 ea. and balancing is 7.50 a tire. They dont charge any shipping fees for the tires either. The only problem is it seems the people at walmarts are idiots....so it took me awhile to finally get them ordered....(this one fool told me to order em online at walmart.com......but guess what, there nowhere found online, then later on at a different walmart the guy told me to call in and order, but I found out later by the manager of the tire center that I have to prepay at the store.) After all that though I definately feel it was worth it, cause it is one heck of a price. Beats tirerack.com and you still have to pay shipping for them at tirerack. Well I'll let ya know how it goes when I go pick em up and get em mounted........as long as they ordered the right ones I'll be happy.

I'll take the bottle out and in a couple of weeks it will be a built tranny with 3200 stall. So it should be a close race.

Are the BRG's drag radials? are they good drag radials compared to Nitto's?

I have heard that Nittos hook up better on the street, but BFGs hook up better at the track. I have only had my Nittos for a couple of weeks and now I have a broke tranny so no drag strip till july 10 for me. Also with the Nittos, if you really want them to hook, you need to do a pretty nice burnout to get em soft and sticky.

BFGs hook better all around, and they too require a slick-like burnout to make them work.

Nittos are simply a much better street tire because they last a lot longer in day-to-day street use, and are actually useable in the rain.

Considering your comments about WalMart and their abilities, I would double check to make sure they have the correct side of the tire facing out They are not directional, but one side is designated to face out and the other in.

Oh my, I didnt know that. I will have to go check asap.....I'm gonna be a little ticked if it is wrong and there gonna hear it. Thanks for letting me know that.

Edit: this may be a stupid question, but how do I check to see if there on right?

Not a stupid question at all. I've had tire shops (not WalMart) mount them the wrong way, so they didn't know either.

On the side wall, out close to the tread, one side of the tire says: "MOUNT THIS SIDE IN" along with what looks like various other languages, which probably mean the same thing. The side that faces out has big letters "BFGOODRICH". The inside doesn't.
