Re: two step

A 6AL only has a single high end rev limiter. You need to buy a seperate 2 step (or 3 step) box that plugs into the 6AL. The 2 step box has 2 pill slots. One for the high end limiter and the other for a launch limiter.

I use a Holley Annihilator ignition. It has 3 rev limiters built in and are all digital so I don't have to change pills to change my rev limits.

Just a word of caution. If you are bracket racing, check your local track rules. Many race tracks will not allow you to use a 2 step in a footbrake class.

Yeah, you need an ignition box for 2 or 3 steps. I didnt know about the holleys being digital....now that I have rpm module's and pills. I just bought the 2 step yesterday at my parts store so I'll be hooking it up tomorrow...but today its too nice outside to be working on the car! Got the truck and boat ready for water skiing!

Whaaaaaa? I've never heard of that before!!!! The track I bracket Race at doesn't have a rule against that. It's 1/8 mile so there might be a differnece there. But man, that would suck a$$ if you couldnt use a 2 step. I've lived for this long without one and have no idea how I lived for so long!!

Re: two step

454 + .070" overbore makes a 469. I use piston rings the same size as a Dodge 440.
