Track virgin ... first time last night

OK .. it's official .... I'm addicted !!

I went to the track for the first time last night. It makes me miss my A4 tranny, but with some practice, I'll get better at this M6 thing.

Wow .... that first pass was something else. I turned the tires over once (steet tires) and found the staging beams ... before I knew it, the tree was coming down and I was still at idle. I knew I blew the light but that was not my main concern since it was my first time out. I just wanted to get down the track in one piece and find out where everything was. Oh, and when I shifted to 4th, it wouldn't go in, so I had to clutch again and let off the gas .... I'm sure that didn't help my trap speed any.

So .. first run: (don't laugh)

R/T -- 1.21
60' -- 2.514
ET -- 14.137
MPH -- 99.38

I came back and talked to Lefty and he gave me a few tips and I went back out and made 3 more passes before calling it a night and sitting back to watch everyone else. Each run got better ..... so I'm learning.

2nd Pass
R/T -- .586
60' -- 2.427
ET -- 13.955
MPH -- 104.35

3rd Pass
R/T -- .501 (heh heh ... lucky)
60' -- 2.356
ET -- 13.944
MPH -- 103.81

4th Pass
R/T -- .745 (whoops ... what happened to my .5xx ?)
60' -- 2.287
ET -- 13.817
MPH -- 104.05

So, my 60' time came down each pass and my ET was faster each time. Look out low 13's ... here I come! My winter mods will be an electric cutout and a shift light. Those should both help me in the spring when I get back to the track.
