tire pressure/et times

wondering if a lower tire pressure will hurt et times and mph in the quarter? i went to the track last night and posted my best 60 ft time-1.7, down from 1.8. i was running 16 lbs in my et streets and they were hooking hard. the problem is that my quarter times went from a 12.3 to a 12.4 and mph went down from 110 mph to 108 mph. i dont remember what my pressure was last time out. i do remember that it was cooler yesterday than before. 85 degrees last time to 65 this time. it's just damn aggravating trying to dial everything in...

The higher the better. Start going the other way and see what happens. I think even a 1/2 turn or 1 turn of wheel spin is exceptable. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

The less pressure you have the more energy its going to take to spin the wheels. Hence slower et.
Im guessing you had a higher pressure last time considering you got lower 60fts and higher et's.

As mentioned a little wheel spin is fine, just make sure that it is a LITTLE. Otherwise you wont be going any faster.
Make sure your doing a good burnout and getting the tires hot enough for good traction. Than you wont need do drop the pressure so much.

So next time out. Start at 22 and go down, as i already said make sure the tires are hot enough so you wont have to decrease pressure to achieve traction. Than keep going down if you are spinning. Stop if your et's or mph drops, you will than know that you have gone too far. Go up a psi or 2 and find the sweet spot between et and mph. You should find a 12.20 @110,112.

You already know if you go down to 16 psi your mph is taking the hit so stop at 17 or 18. Its really just trial and error.
