sway bar

pro/cons of taking front sway bar off for racing? is it still drivable on the street or just take it off for racing?

I have never had any problems after taking the front sway bar off but i dont hit the curves, I just drag race. If you are going to do much high speed cornering I wouldn't reccomend taking it off.

Re: sway bar

it does make the car pretty sloppy in corners but it does wonders for helping the car launch.

Re: sway bar

it gave me 2 tenths on my 60' when i unhooked the end link on the drivers side

it is a bit floppy on initial turn-in, but its not bad.

its so easy to unhook just the endlink you can do it at the track after you change your tires.

i just leave mine unhooked bc i'm lazy

Re: sway bar

I took just the sway bar off to see how it would feel, a week later I yanked the mounting brackets off and tossed em because I was never putting the sway bar back on.

I run on skinnys and I don,t have power steering so I take turns real slow and then as soon as its straight I hammer it.
you won,t have any problems running without the front swaybar, a couple of weeks and you won,t even miss it.

Re: sway bar

I was also thinking about removing mine. All I want to know basically is will you notice a difference in the speed/launch??? I'm running 15x3.5" up front also. I will take it off if there's a noticable improvement?

Re: sway bar

took mine off...drives fine with street tires, but with et streets on the back corners are pretty hairy.
