subframe connectors and crossmembers

I was wondering what the difference was between like Hotchkis connectors that jsut have two mounting points and ones like SLP and BMR that have more mounting points. I was also wondering about crossmembers for my 93 trans am for when I put a th400 in. I want to put one in. I have looked around teh closest thing was BMR they had a crossmember for powerglide and th350s. They had teh th400 crossmember for 98-up. Also fbodycentral.com had a th400 conversion kit that includes tranny and crossmember for my car but I think if I can I could jsut order the crossmember oh and maybe the adapter for the speedometer gears. thanks guys
