I did!! Raced in Pinks All Out this weekend. My first time spraying the car was saturday, I hit it with the 150 shot and went 11.02 at 128 with a 1.62 60'. Sunday was the actual race, and since it was "all out" i decided to put the 200 pills in, went 10.75 @ 132 with a 1.65 60', i didnt purge so it came out and bogged on motor, then took off like a bat out of hell, then ran out of gear at the long end with a 6700 rpm limiter, spray shutting off at 6k . I need taller tires for spray, that's obvious. Here's a pic of the first run, the red car went 10.95 @ 129 and ended up in the 16 cars picked. The index ended up being 11.00, should have left the 150 pills and i could have ended up in the race for 10k.

Yea, they picked 16 cars that had close times. This time it was 10.90-11.1, there were a lot more 10.0 cars, but those guys were sandbagging all day. Lots of low 9 second cars that were running on motor to get those 10.0 times, so they didnt get picked. People were going all out and breaking ****, they kept oiling down the track, they didnt get the top 16 till 10pm. They ended about 2am with the top 4 splitting the 10k pot because the track was wet with dew and too dangerous to race on. There was a 16 y/o kid driving a 69 camaro with a bottle that was in the top 4 and they gave him the 7k worth of tools and tool box from napa that was the prize for 1st place.

Yea, definately a one in a lifetime experience. If they ever come back to florida i'll definately be racing again!!!

 

where was it at? I know they are supposed to have something at budds creek soon in MD.

 

What track were you at, Moroso Motorsports Park there at West Palm? Great times, sorry you were not picked. I always enjoy Pinks more when I see LT Camaros running.

Yea it was at Moroso, for the last year or so track prep has been pretty bad. Last month however we got a new track manager , lets say i couldnt make my car spin if i wanted to now. For this event i heard other people talking about how amazing the prep was, but i was still cutting the same 60's as normal, so it seems that they just havent been to the track since we got the new manager. Yea i was just a TAD too fast, o well next time!!!

 

97s10ondubs, glad to see you at least had a chance to give it a try. I have only watched one Pinks all out. But that one was enough for me to like it better than the six or so other ones I've watched where they race for pinks. Take about sand bagging and grown men whining about car lenghts.

 

Did you have to have the proper safety equipment(roll bar)? If not, I could have run.

Yea i did, but they didnt look at it. I camped out thursday night to pre-register on friday night and had some help from a couple other racers installing my 5-point harness. The kid with the 69 camaro didnt even have a roll bar and he was going low 11's. Too many cars to tech and take your time like that because there was only one guy doing tech. The really fast cars were getting teched hard though, checking neutral safety switches, battery shut offs, and expirations on harnesses.
