Spec me a solid Roller.....

I need solid roller cam for my 383. It consist of a Scat 4340 crank, eagle 6" rods, SRP 12:1 piston's, ported stock LT1 castings by Lloyd Elliot. The car really never hits the street. I won't it to roll so I am looking something nice. I was thinking something along the lines of a 25X-26X @.050 and lift in the 600's with a 110 or 108 LSA. I will also be shooting a 200 shot on the direct port setup. Also could I get yalls opion on what lifter and spring setup to use. I did a search and everyone is screaming diff. stuff. I have no clue what lifter, people talked about the 871's, 873's, 888's and the 883's ??? As far as springs looks like the 954's or the 944's.

You running the procharger and nitrous? You should fill out the Cam request form on Compcams site. I am going to be changing the heads, intake, and cam this winter and they spec'd me a 242/248 with the lift at .608/.614 with 1.6 rockers ground on 114 centerline with 114 lsa. If you go much longer duration the horsepower peak goes close or over 7000. Not much sense in that unless you go to FAST computer. I am using the AFR 210 heads that breathe very well on the exhaust side. I was planning 250 shot of nitrous. I plan to use the Compcams Endure-X lifters so I can drive a little on the street. They have a small oiling slot for low rpm conditions. They are reasonably priced (395.00)?

The stall speed of the converter will have to be taken into account. You need to consider if you are using the nitrous off the line or on a window switch. This will have a big effect on stall speed, too.

Damn dude, playing musical motors again?

Seriously, I'd talk to Jeff Creech or Randy Brown about this man. After seeing what Kevin's car did with stock heads and that "Creech custom" cam I'd at least call Jeff and see what he thinks.

Man, what happened to the blower? Who'd you sell it to?

The cam is prolly the same as mine. My car put down 344to the wheels through an auto and stock heads. So put a m6 in my car and I'd have must as much if not more hp the kevin. Whats the big deal?
