To run 13's

What else do I need to do to my car to run like mid to high 13's like 13.5-13.8. Just wondering, and was wondering what would be the best next mod to do. And wondering if anyone has an airfoil and if it works because I am in school right now so I don't have a job and don't have 400 to spend.

Are you icing the intake? Did you remove the sway bar at the track? The little things like this can get you into the 13's. Also take out the passenger seat and the spare tire if you are not already.

i would say get a hooker catback, its like 280, or you could always get a cutout for 30

i'd do headers with a good cat and a cut out, cheap and a good gain, should put you into the 13's

i ran 13.78@100 stock with a 2.00 60'

what is your car running now?

I haven't had a chance to take it to the track. My car has been having fits and I want to get it all worked out before I take it to the track.

well i think that you should be in the 13's, if not, very close, if there is a local track or shop, ask around to get an idea of what similar cars to your run

all you need is practice.

get your launch down, your 60 footer to about 2.0xx and you should see an easy 13.8

Depending on what you're aspirations are for the car, you can always bypass the whole cat-back idea and go with a nice set of used headers and 2.5" true duals for now. I've heard TD's on a practically all stock car, just had a set of headers, and it sounds MEAN...those can be fabbed and installed for less than $200 at most muffler shops...

Have you already done your free engine mods?

Do exactly what I did. When you go to the track, unbolt the flange at the end of the cat, swing the pipe over and bolt the other sides together to hold the cat wide open. Throw a K+N on the end of the stock intake and run that way.
