That is as good of an idea as any, but, in an impact, you still could hit your head on that cage (it is amazing how violently you'll move around inside the car when in an accident).

After days of thought and losing a bit of sleep, I've come to a simple answer.

PVC pipe and some snazzy paint work

I don't see the point here. A cage is designed so that it will protect the occupant during a crash. If you weaken the cage, how is it supposed to do its job? All you're doing is making the car unsafer in my opinion.

I am gonna move this over to the drag racing forum. There are a ton of folks there with some really great knowledge of the rules, and whats easiest and best.

the whole post waz stated that he mostly wants it for looks the cage also makes it more structurly stable if the cage waz needed to make the car safer then gm would have put it in.this guy just wantz a look. i dont think he is to worried about regulations
