Ran 12's at 4200ft!!!! dang!!

i have a 94z28 6speed.

it have a g2 intake, k&n, stringer catback, no cat, msd wires, hurst s/t and 4:10's with a 150nos dry kit!

most of the time i'm running in the 14.5 area with street tires and no NOS.

but sunday i went to Arroyo seco and ran 26x9.5 slicks with a 150 dry shot of NOS.

this is what i ran

60ft---------1.753
1/4et---------12.666
1/4 mph------105.67

i think thats good!!! at 4200ft!!! dang! now my car is fast!!!

also ran a

12.7 at 108mph
and
12.8 at 111mph

then a 13.6 at 99 with no NOS!!!

what do u guys think??

Nice job! I used to live in Alamogordo so I know how that thin air feels.

I agree about the altitude, it really kills the times. That is exceptional. I Race in Denver and a stock lt1 runs about 15.4 @93 or so mph...6000ft sux.

Man altitude really hurts the LT1...

I wonder if turbocharged vehicles sell better in higher altitude places???

Sounds like everyone out there needs some boost...

I'm just glad I live close to the ocean, I don't need an SRT-4 walking allover me- not to say that they do it to you guys, but I think stock vs. stock, the srt would probably win out there. Ick.

Anyway, nice job on the times. Anyone know what that is corrected for altitude?

You only picked up 6mph on a 150shot?

I trapped 104 n/a at bandimere in the summer.

To correct for altitude, you can really only guess with a calculator, you have to know the pressure, temp, and humidity. Most tracks dont show humidity on the slips, since it doesnt effect times too greatly.

you sprayed a 150 dry shot on stock fuel pump? injectors? I always thought everyone stayed away from dry shots on LT1s

I'm glad I don't have to race in Denver but I still race at high altitude.

Having a 12 second car at altitude is very fast.
