When at the line, do the majority of you (M6 drivers) preload the tranny / rear end in an effort to save catastophic failure for another day...or do you guys just line up and go?

Just a question.

I only have experience with an auto but am building a stick car now. With the auto it seemed like it went quicker (12 second bolt-on Impala SS) when I did not preload it but flashed the converter and let it hit. With the stick though, and a 10-bolt I don't think I would try that; unless you have a tow vehicle for the way home. My plans include a 12-bolt and G-Force 6-speed so I hope to dump it from 7,000 and see what else I can break!
