Power steering.....Can we just cap it up???

Power steering.....Can we just cap it up???
I was wondering if it is possible to just take off the lines to our steering rack and cap them up. Is there any danger of doing this?

That is how it is done on my car. It two lines have a hose that connecting them. Do a search, there was a discussion about this a few weeks ago.
