ok well i went to the track on friday.i have a 1995 z28 auto...it seem everytime i would shift into 3rd gear i would hear a pop..like maybe revlim b/c i spun every gear the car shifted into..then i went on the street and it was fine..u tell me

 

check your torque-arm mounting bracket on the transmission tail-housing, Also, the transmission tail-housing motor-mount on the cross-member. If those items get worn-out (loose) they'll make some noise during hard shifts.
